Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year, it was very nice to relax and enjoy the day.  Carter was so excited to have a "sleepover" with Mimi and Pa.  Ben was on call and I went shopping on Black Friday with Martha.

Picnic in the Park!

Today Carter and I packed our lunch and headed to the park. He thought that was the coolest thing! As soon as we layed out the blanket he was so excited...he started acting silly :)

When we were finished eating he ran over to the park and started playing with some of the little boys.  I think it's so cool that he now goes up to the kids and asks them if he can play too, especially since he stays home with me and pretty much only plays with kids he already knows.

Tonight Carter fell asleep in the doorway to his room before bathtime and the nightly cleanup of his toys! :)

Today Carter, Pa, and Ben all headed to Wickenburg with Leo's gold mining group.  Ben said Carter had so much fun looking for gold...they designated him the "hole digger".  Ben took some really cute pictures from their day...

Carter had so much fun today...he's been talking about going back to the desert nonstop!

Carter's 4 Years and 1 Month Today!

It's already been 1 month since our Carter Bug turned 4.   I know I say it every month...but time sure does fly around here! 

Carter's accomplished a HUGE milestone this past month...he's learned to write his name!!!  He still needs/wants some help with some of the letters...but for the most part he can write it on his own!  We have been working on this since he was 2...he's not shown a lot of interest until earlier this month...we are so proud of him!!! 

Lately Carter has been telling us what he's thankful for:

• Kitties

I also snapped a few pictures of Carter looking outside deciding if he thought it was going to rain or not :)

Park Fun With Daddy!

Today Ben took the day off so took Carter to the park.  Unfortunately I forgot to charge my camera, so I didn't snap too many pictures.

Park Fun!

Today Carter and I went to the park.  He loves to run around the park and play on the playground.  He also enjoys taking walks around the park while checking out the animals.   

First, we played and ran off some energy...

Then we took a walk to look for animals...

This is rare...he hardly ever gets on a swing...

When we came back home he wanted to draw.  He wrote a "c" and an "a"!!!  He asked me to draw a letter "c" for him and he copied it!!  Then I drew an "a" and he copied that too!!!  This is HUGE for Carter...I've been trying to get him to write his name for almost 2 years now.  Like everything else, it has to be on his terms :)

I drew the darker "c" and "a"...he drew all the rest!
