Carrots

Jacob had his first taste of carrots tonight.  I think he's starting to get used to trying new things since this was the 4th vegetable he's tried.  He seemed to like it and ate the entire jar.

Peas

Jacob has started solids!!!  We were so excited to give him his first bite of baby food!  Carter chose to start him with peas.

Jacob was not a fan of peas.  He definitely takes after me in that department.

Uh Oh!

We're in trouble now!  Our little Jakey is already up on his hands and knees and starting to rock back and forth.  He's trying so hard to keep up with big brother, Carter.

Bros

I love nothing more than snapping the sweet moments between my boys.  Their love continues to amaze me daily!

First Day of 1st Grade

Carter is a FIRST GRADER!  Can you believe it?  After walking him to his classroom Ben and I discussed how fast time is passing us by.  

Carter had an awesome first day of school!  I picked him up over an hour ago and I'm still hearing about all the exciting things that happened today!

Push Up

Jacob is now pushing up on his hands!  I can't believe how fast he's hitting all his milestones.  What is it about    the second baby that makes it seem like they grow up so much fast than the first?

Sippy Cup Fun

Jacob has started drinking from a sippy cup, he loves gnawing on the soft spout and is getting used to the iced cold water.  :)

Tripod Sitting

Jacob has started (tripod) sitting.  He can sit for about a minute or two before he falls over.

Me: "I do."

Brother Giggles

Carter loves making Jacob laugh.  Tonight he was playing with Jacob and Jacob started laughing so hard, big belly laugh.  It was so cute!

Carter Lost His 1st Tooth

What a big day for my Carter! It was his last day of Kinder AND he lost his first tooth!!!

Rolling Over

Jacob rolled over for the first time almost a week ago on May 10th.  Today I was able to get it on film.  I can't believe how fast our baby boy is growing up.

I put in Baby Einstein for Jacob today during tummy time and he immediately looked up and was instantly mesmerized by the TV.

We had a very nice Mother's Day with our families.  First we had brunch at Deer Valley Airport.

Then, we headed to Mimi and Pa's for a little visit.

Blankie Boy

I bought Jacob's blankie after finding out we were having another boy.  I bought it with intentions of him choosing a soft snuggly blankie rather than the scratchy lap pad Carter chose to carry around :)  I chose wisely for our Jacob.  He adores his blankie.  He loves it so much that I think he actually missed it while it was in the washing machine today because as soon as I gave it back to him he gave it a big squeeze and gave me a big smile.

 

Daddy Talk

I walked out of the kitchen to find Jacob and Ben in a conversation about their day.  I love how chatty Jacob is these days....so much fun! 

Brothers

Today we had a "Big Brother, Little Brother" photo shoot. Carter had so much fun playing with his baby brother and trying to make him smile.

Wiggly Tooth

Carter's tooth is finally wiggly.  He came up to me this morning and showed me his wiggly tooth.  He's been waiting several months to have his first wiggly tooth.  He noticed a lot of the kids in his class have started losing their baby teeth and was wondering when it was going to be his turn...the wait is over!  He's going to lose his first tooth!  My baby is growing up so fast.  Would you believe I have it documented when each and every one of his teeth came in?  I'm kinda crazy, I know.  :)  

Carter's Kinder Field Trip

Today Carter's Kindergarten class went on a field trip to the Wildlife Zoo.  Carter was a little nervous about riding the school bus, but I assured him it would be lots of fun.  Jacob and I met him at the zoo, we were there to meet him when he got off the school bus.  He was so proud of himself for riding the bus and he really seemed to enjoy it.  Once we got into the zoo we walked around just the 3 of us at first, then we met up with his friends and ate lunch with them and spent the rest of the afternoon checking things out with his buddies.

Me: "Yes, they like Legos, trucks, dirt bikes, quads, skateboards...."

Carter:  "I know what girls like."

Me: "Oh yeah, what do girls like?"

Carter: "Girls like flowers, special care, love and most of all they love to boss boys around!"

Happy Easter!  We started our day by celebrating Easter with our boys at home.  We opened Easter baskets and hunted for Easter eggs.
