Happy Halloween

Carter had a Fall Festival at school this week.  Ben and Carter went together since I had school.

Ben took the kids to the ice cream truck so they could choose a snow cone....

Carter had the week of his birthday off from school, so I took his birthday off from work.  We had a Mommy & Carter day!  When I asked Carter what he wanted to do, he chose going to the mall to pick out a Build A Bear....

When Daddy got home from work we opened presents and had cake....

Ben bought Carter a rocket for his birthday and they couldn't wait to go out to the field behind the house to launch their first rocket together!

20 Weeks Pregnant

I'm 20 weeks pregnant! I'm feeling much better! I have much more energy and an appetite...which is always a good thing :)

How far along? 20 weeks

Sleep: wake up every 2 hours to go to the bathroom

Symptoms: starting to have lower back pain

Favorite moment this week: seeing my little guy on the ultrasound and finding out he's a BOY!!!

Movement: I feel him moving around very low in my abdomen, usually around the same time every day

Food cravings: jollyranchers

Food adversion: none

Gender: BOY!!!!

Labor signs: too early

Belly button in or out? in, but becoming flat

Weekly wisdom: don't mistake hopes for intuition

Milestones: half way mark!

Carter's Football Baby Brother!

I'm the proudest Mommy EVER!!!  My sweet boy put his football in his baby brother's swaddler and has been carrying it around the house pretending his baby brother is inside.  :)  The "football brother" was the first thing he went for this morning.  He pretended the baby was crying as he shhh'ed him and patted his "back".  I'm extremely proud of him and how he's falling into his big brother role without hesitation.  He's a natural!!!

It's A BOY!!!!

Today we had our 20 week ultrasound! Ben, Carter and Deb went with me to my appointment. Carter was so excited to see his little brother or sister on the ultrasound....and to (of course) find out if he was going to have a brother or a sister :) The ultrasound tech let us know right away that the newest addition to The Martin Family is a BOY!!!!
