Goodbye Busy Bodies

Goodbye Busy Bodies, you'll truly be missed :(   Busy Bodies has been a part of our weekly routine for the past 3 1/2 years.  I'm sure it's going to be strange at first not heading to Busy Bodies on Thursday afternoons.

Unfortunately, we couldn't fit Busy Bodies in with all the summer activities we have planned.  We're going to do swim lessons, go to Sea World and lots and lots of splash park fun!    Then, Carter will start 'real' preschool in the fall....which he's SUPER excited about!!!

A Day In The Park

After the pictures were taken we decided to head to the park!  We had tons of fun feeding the ducks!  There was even a mommy duck with her babies...too cute!

After we fed the ducks Carter headed to the park to play...

We finally took Carter to get his 4-Year-Old pictures done.  They turned our really cute....

 

Tomato Plant

Carter was so surprised at how much his tomato plant grew from yesterday to today!  He planted the seeds himself and waters them every day....I love watching him witness the growth of his very own tomato plant!  So much fun!!!

Carter made a clubhouse this morning!  He said only his doggies could go in his clubhouse...."No girls allowed!"

It Feels A Little Like Summer!

It's the middle of April....but feels more like the middle of June!  We turned on the A/C this weekend and haven't turned it off since!  Hopefully it'll cool off again enough to where we won't have to run the A/C for a while.  I love spring and having the house opened up during the day....hopefully we'll be able to enjoy it again before it's full blown summer around here :)

One of our favorite things about summer is all the yummy fruit that's in season!  Our absolute favorite around here is watermelon!!!  We couldn't resist buying our first watermelon of the season while we were at the grocery store today....and Carter couldn't wait to get it home and cut into it....YUMMY!   :)

4 1/2 Year Update!!!

Did I just write that???  Oh my gosh...I can't believe my baby is already 4 1/2!!!  I told him this morning that he's going to be taller than me by the time he's in 1st grade (although, that's not saying much haha!) he thought that was funny!

Carter makes being a Mommy very fun and extremely rewarding!  I'm more and more proud of him every day!  Just this weekend he proved that once again.  Uncle Keith was here and I asked Carter to grab me Keith's pillow and blanket.  Carter couldn't find Uncle Keith's pillow so instead he grabbed one of his pillows off of his bed for Uncle Keith.  He's such a sweet and caring litte guy!  I absolutely love that about him....he's always helping other people and has the biggest heart I've ever seen!

On a sadder note....Busy Bodies is "closing" at the end of this month :(  They're trying to sell their business by the end of this month....although I've still not heard whether or not they have.  So we went ahead and told Carter that they're closing after this session.  He took the news ok...of course he had tons of questions...but for the most part I think he's ok with it.  Poor guy...he's been going there since he was 14 months....that's just about as far back as he can remember.  We also told him that over the summer we'll do swim lessons and go to the splash parks, etc. and maybe next fall he can start going to a preschool closer to home.  He was really excited about that!  We pulled up the preschool that I've had a lot of recommendations for and they had tons of pictures of the preschool on their homepage.  I told Carter that we'll go in a take a tour and check it out.  So, look for updates about our tour in the next week or two :)

Carter and His Lamb!

Carter with the lamb the Easter Bunny brought him!  He loves his lamb sooo much!!!  This afternoon he wanted me to take some pictures of him and his lamb so he could see them on the computer....he cracks me up!

Planting More Seeds....

Today Carter wanted to paint the planter the Easter Bunny gave him for Easter.  After the paint dried he planted some tomato seeds....cross your fingers they grow....wouldn't want to break his heart if they don't!

Spring Has Sprung!

I absolutely love spring!  Carter and I had tons of fun planting flowers over the past couple days! 

We planted some flowers around our tree in the front yard...

Then, we planted some flowers in our pots...

We even started our first garden!!!  Carter and I planted some flower seeds in our garden!  We're so anxious to see the flowers start to grow!!!

Happy Easter!

Hippity Hoppity Happity Easter!

We celebrated Easter almost all week long with all the different activites we did. 

First we had an egg hunt with our playgroup....

Then we colored Easter eggs....

We baked Easter cupcakes....

We went to the annual egg hunt at the stadium...

We had such a fun Easter!  We started out the morining being woken up by a little guy who was so extremely excited that the Easter Bunny came!!!  I (of course) wanted to capture this moment on film (if I was smart I would have slept with the video camera on the nightstand haha)!  We  went to the living room to find the Easter Basket the Easter Bunny left for Carter!  After he opened his basket he went hunting for the Easter Eggs the Easter Bunny hid throughout the house.  Later Mimi, Pa, and Aunt Sharon joined us for Easter Dinner!  We had such a fun and relaxing day!
