Carter's 1st Day of Preschool!

Carter went to preschool for the 1st time today!

I wanted to start a tradition of taking Carter's 'First Day of School' pictures in the same place every year...I chose in front of the front door.

....and also in front of his classroom door!

Carter didn't do well with me leaving :(  He cried pretty hard...I mean he sobbed, it absolutely broke my heart.  I did good though, I didn't cry until I was out of his classroom.  Shortly after I got home I called the school to check on him.  The office said he was doing good.  His teacher showed him the computer after I left, then they worked on a puzzle and were doing story time when I called.  I felt so much better after being reassured he was fine.

Before I knew it, it was time to pick him up!  He was having so much fun playing with his new friends!  He asked me if he had to leave, when I told him yes, he asked, can I come back again?  Phew...that's a good sign!

Playing in the Rain!

We finally had a long awaited Monsoon storm tonight!  It's funny because when it rains in Phoenix, it's a HUGE deal!!!  I absolutely love Monsoon season and how green everything looks after a good rain!

Carter had lots of fun playing in the rain...

A couple of the pictures I took of the rain...

Rommel also enjoyed the rain...

Our Prescott Day Trip!

Today we headed up north to Prescott!  Our first stop was the flea market.  Carter had $2 burning a hole in his pocket...so he bought a 3 dinosaurs, an army truck, and a book.  Not too shabby for $2 :)

After the flea market we grabbed some lunch, then we went and checked out a little creek where Leo's (Ben's dad) friends were gold mining.  I got some really cute shots of Carter playing in the creek.

On our drive back to Phoenix Carter entertained us by playing the harmonica with Pa.

Then he had a little quiet time and read his new book....

While I took some pictures of the gorgeous clouds...

When we got back to Mimi and Pa's, Mimi was getting ready to jump in the pool.  Carter joined her, of course :)

Such a handsome little man!
