Today was Carter's last day of swim lessons.  He's accomplished so much during lessons this summer!  We wanted to share a few pictures from the past couple of weeks....he's come so far!

Swim Lessons!

Carter has come so far in swim lessons since last summer!  Today he swam 4-feet under water!!!  That's something he would have tried last summer....or last week for that matter!  We're so incredibly proud of our little swimmer! 

Next week is the last week of swim lessons.  Then he's off for 2 weeks before starting preschool!  Our little Carter is growing up so fast!

You'd never guess he told me this morning how worried he was about going down the slide.  After a little encouragement he was fine!!!

We're so proud of him!  He's overcome so many fears and hurdles during this swim session (and it was only 2 weeks!)  Wonder what he'll accomplish during the next 2 weeks!!!

Spring Has Sprung!

I absolutely love spring!  Carter and I had tons of fun planting flowers over the past couple days! 

We planted some flowers around our tree in the front yard...

Then, we planted some flowers in our pots...

We even started our first garden!!!  Carter and I planted some flower seeds in our garden!  We're so anxious to see the flowers start to grow!!!

Such A Fun Day!!!

Today Carter and I spent the day at the White Tanks!  It was so much fun!!!  Would you believe it was our first time going???  We live literally 5 minutes away and have never gone.

First, we played with his sand toys and bubbles. Carter loves bubbles!  We found a really neat bubble set that has lots of different wands and bubble blowers, he couldn't wait to try them all out :) 

Later, we played tag and had fun racing each other down the slides!  Carter amazed me by climbing the ladder on the playground, especially since he's so afraid of heights. 

We also hiked the trail up to the waterfall.  It was absolutely beautiful up there!  During our hike we talked lots about nature and the different animals that live in the desert.  Carter made me laugh when I was telling him about cactus and that they can survive with very little water....the next thing he said cracked me up...."I can water them"....**I'm sure you know what he means :)**  He's such a little stinker...I think the funniest part about it was that he was being serious!

Later when we were Sam's Club getting a pizza Carter asked me if he could have a berry sundae.  He thought it was the coolest thing that we were having dessert before dinner....shhh....don't tell Daddy!  I think it's the simple things like our day today that he'll remember for years to come!  If I could bottle up this day and keep it forever, I would! :) 

A Boy and His Dog!

Wasn't I just complaining about how they stand up or move every time I take a picture of them???  Aren't they just too cute?  Carter and Rommel are the best of friends!

Counting Down...

Today Carter started counting backwards.  When I asked him where he learned to do that he said, "I learned it from sitting in time out.  Four, three, two, one....time outs over!"  How funny is that???  He never ceases to amaze me!    

Carter's 1st Day of Preschool!

Carter did awesome in preschool today!!!  We arrived a few minutes early to drop him off and he couldn't wait to get rid of me :)  He gave me a hug and kiss and said, "Bye Mommy, you can leave now!  Don't miss me too much....and no crying!"  Can you believe it?  I did very well not crying until I got back to my car...then I cried like a baby :)  My little guy is growing up so fast!

Carter's preschool class was 3 hours so I decided to run some errands.  I also bought Carter a little goodie bag to surprise him after I picked him up from his first day of preschool.  I sat it on his carseat so he'd see it as soon as he got in the car!

When I walked into Busy Bodies to pick him up I could hear everyone laughing.  I peeked in his class to see what everyone was laughing at....they were laughing at Carter being silly :)  His teacher Robin told me how he had everyone cracking up the whole time!  She said he's her class clown :)  I told her that I didn't expect it any other way; he loves to make people laugh!  She also said even with how much fun he was having making his friends laugh that he wasn't being disruptive and he still listened and followed directions the whole time!  I'm so happy that he has such a wonderful teacher that lets him truly be himself and just let loose.  I was hesitant to put him in preschool because I wanted him to have fun and be a kid, before he's in school for the next 13 years.  Busy Bodies is so great because although they let the kids have fun, they're still getting them ready for kindergarten.  I think they're a little more laid back than a traditional preschool....so it was a perfect match, exactly what we were looking for!!!

The kids do show and tell every week, this week Carter wanted to tell his friends all about Fuzz (his Build A Bear Doggy)!  He also took a stick with him to show his friends how Fuzz plays fetch.  Another thing they do is learn a new letter every week.  The letter for this week was R.  Carter made a beautiful rainbow for the letter R!  We are sooo proud of Carter's enormous joy for learning....he had so much fun in his preschool class today! 

Movin' Up...Again!

Carter is moving up to the next class in Busy Bodies!  He's so excited to start preschool next week at Busy Bodies!  He's been talking about it nonstop...telling everyone he sees how he's starting preschool!  I can't wait to see all the papers and crafts he comes home with!

Build A Bear (Puppy)!

After Busy Bodies Carter wanted to stop by the mall and "check on Rommel and Buddy puppies".  The petstore at the mall has a black lab puppy and a german shepherd puppy, he calls them Rommel Puppy and Buddy Puppy.  While we were at the mall Carter saw the Build A Bear store and wanted to check it out.  He still had some birthday money left and decided he wanted to spend it on a new stuffed puppy.  He had a blast stuffing his new puppy!  When the man asked him what his new puppy's name was he said, "Brown and White Doggy"...he cracks me up...his other animals names are, Baby Kitty, Baby Doggy, Mommy Kitty, Woof-Woof, etc...could he be anymore original :)

I was happy my phone is able to take pictures since this was his first time making a Build A Bear and I didn't have my digital camera with us...gotta have pictures :)

Carter loves his new little friend so much! He does so well taking care of him. He even takes him outside to go potty, gives him some of Rommel's food (that Rommel later eats and Carter says his puppy ate), and takes him for a walk! He's taking his new responsibility very seriously...even though he is a stuffed dog :)

Purple Flowers!

Tonight Carter brought me home a purple flower he picked from Mimi's yard!  He knows purple is my favorite color....he told Ben he wanted to give me the flower becasue it's purple!  I love those "just because" presents...they're the BEST!!!

Blocks, Blocks and More Blocks!

Today Carter and I enjoyed a nice relaxing day together at home.  A quiet activity we really enjoy doing together is building with his blocks.  I love watching him play with his blocks, especially because he hardly ever gets upset after building his "tower" as tall as he can and it crashes to the ground....he's always so calm and just builds it again!
