Asking an Important Question and Some Playing at the park!

Today we went up north to grandma and grandpa's house.  Carter has been talking about the park by grandma and grandpa's house since we were there last time.  So, today on the way home we made a pit stop so he could play at the park!

Before we left I had a very important question for my grandpa.  Since my father is no longer with us I was in need of someone to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day.  I thought who would be better to give me away than my mother's father?  After I asked him he said he would be honored to walk me down the aisle!  I'm so incredibly lucky to have the family I have!  Everyone is really coming together to help make our wedding day extra special!

Carter's 4 Years, 7 Months Old Today!

Carter is into so many new things lately.  He especially loves Super Heroes.  He patiently waited for several months to see Iron Man 2.  We went and saw it the day it came out (last Friday) which he was extremely excited about! 

Carter also loves to play with his stuffed animals, you can almost always find him playing with at least one of his stuffed animals at any given time. 

It's only been a little over a week since we've stopped going to Busy Bodies and boy does it show.  Carter is so bored!  He's not been listening as well as he should be as a result of his boredom.  I've put a few more things on our calendar to get us out of the house more during the week.

We're ENGAGED!!!!

We have a HUGE announcement...I'm so extremely excited....can hardly contain myself.  I want to climb to the highest rooftop and shout, "We're engaged!"  Ben proposed on Mother's Day, it was so cute the way he incorporated Carter into the proposal.  We were sitting on the back patio after Ben's parents and my Aunt Sharon left and Ben asked Carter if he thought we should get married, Carter (of course) screamed YES!!!  Then Ben turned to me and asked me to marry him....so sweet!

My Aunt Sharon graciously offered my grandmother's diamond to us to put in a setting of our choice.  I'm incredibly honored to wear my grandmother's diamond!  I will cherish it for many, many years to come!!!

We want a Spring wedding, so we're thinking maybe sometime around Memorial Day 2011.  Nothing is confirmed as of yet though.  We will be sure to keep everyone posted. :)  We're going to have an intimate ceremony with our close friends and family.

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day started out perfectly and just kept getting better throughout the day.
First, Carter woke me up with the sweetest hug and kiss and whispered, "Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!"  He couldn't wait to give me my present.  I was so proud of him for keeping my present a secret, even when I asked him what it was...couldn't help myself :)  He would tell me that he couldn't tell me what it was, that it was a secret that had to wait until Mother's Day (Ben prepped him good).  He gave me the most beautiful mug!  I absolutely love it!!!  So colorful and best of all it has his hand print on it!!!

   

















Then, we had breakfast and hung out until Ben's parents and my Aunt Sharon arrived.  We enjoyed spending time with our family and a very yummy steak dinner! 

Carter loves being read to so he didn't hesitate to ask Mimi to read him a book....

Mother's Day isn't complete until we have our annual Mother/Son picture!
