Today Carter swam all by himself! Can you believe it??? The same Mr. Carter that has been so terrified to swim without floaties, swam about 2-3 feet all by himself! Ben and I are so extremely proud of our little swimmer!!!

Sea World, The Beach and Auntie Jamie's!
We just got home from vacation! We had so much fun! Martha invited us to go to San Diego with her and the girls. Unfortunately Ben had to work...so Martha and I took the kids by ourselves.
We left for San Diego on Monday morning with our first stop being Sea Port Village once we arrived. Carter had never seen the ocean before so he was anxious to finally see it! After site seeing at Sea Port Village we headed to the hotel to check in and change into warmer clothes before heading to Sea World! The kids were all super excited to go to Sea World! We walked around and saw a couple shows and ended the night with the Shamu Fireworks show!
After breakfast the next morning we headed back to Sea World! We ended up staying there for 11 hours...I know....we're nuts! :) There was so much to do and see, so time just flew by. The kids all did very well, even with it being such a long day.
We went to the beach for our last day in San Diego. Like I said Carter had never been to the beach, so I was so excited for him to see the beach for the first time! Needless to say....he LOVED it!!!
The next morning we headed to LA to spend the rest of our vacation with Jamie! We had a blast! The kids (all 7 of them....Jamie has 3 and Kelly has 1) all got along. We were expecting lots of drama with getting that many kids together. We had a BBQ on Friday night and then we left on Saturday afternoon. It was a short visit....but I was glad we were able to get together. It stinks not living close to one of your best friends.
Jamie and me are on the top and Martha and I are on the bottom....my two best friends!

Carter's 4 Years and 8 Months Old Today!
Carter's another month older! It's kind of sad to think that in another 4 months he'll be 5! 5 Years old...oh my....where has the time gone???
Carter and I have been sick this past week. Yesterday we went to our doctors and Carter was diagnosed with double ear infections and not only that but one of his ears has a blister on the eardrum...OUCH!!! I kept going back and forth with whether or not I should take him in because one day he was fine and the next day he layed around all day and had a fever. It rotated like that off and on all week. Then on Wednesday he woke up from a nap and was poking and pulling on his ear and he was complaining that it hurt. Well, if you know Carter at all you know he doesn't complain about being in pain unless it's really bad. So I scheduled his doctor appointment for the next day. I had never heard of a blister on the eardrum before. I asked the doctor if it was because I waited so long to bring him in. He said that I had done everything right and that it was a different kind of infection. Thank goodness he's going to be ok...the doctor prescribed antibiotics along with numbing ear drops for his ear. Poor little guy.
I also went to the doctor and I have a sinus infection along with an ear infection....not fun! I just want to be able to breath through my nose, hear and taste again.
When I told Ben that I had to take some pictures of Carter today I think he thought I was a little nuts. I told him I've not missed a month yet since he was born that I didn't take a picture of Carter on the 11th. As you can see Carter's feeling better! As for me...I'm going back to sleep :)
Enjoy!
