Our Visit to the Whitetanks

When I picked Carter up from preschool today, his teachers let me know he was the Super Star of the class today!  When I asked what that meant they said he listened, followed directions and was such a good boy all day!  When we got to the truck Carter also let me know he was line leader....he loves being the line leader!

I told him I had a special surprise for him since he was so good at school today....a trip to the Whitetanks!  He loves hiking up the waterfall trail, so I thought this was a perfect end to such a great day at school!

Our first stop....the playground!

I have an idea....
Let's go for a hike...

Scenery along the way...

The waterfall....

Carter was very upset by this...

He couldn't believe someone would write on a rock.

After some 'exploring' Carter found this rock that he thought looked like a dinosaur footprint....I have to say....it does look like a dinosaur footprint!

Proof that it was a GOOD day!!!

Carter Writes His Name on.....EVERYTHING!!!

Carter has been writing his name on EVERY piece of paper he finds!  We're so proud of him!  It was a challenge to get Carter to write his name or any of the letters before he started preschool, but now he's so proud of knowing the letters and their sounds!

Preschool Pictures

We got Carter's preschool pictures back last week....they turned out so cute!

Carter LOVES Writing the Letter G

Carter came up to me today and showed me this piece of paper....

I was amazed...I didn't even know he knew how to write the letter G!  When I asked him if he knew what letter he wrote he said, "It's the letter G".  Then he sounded it out.....I'm so proud of him!!!!

Carter's 5 Years and 1 Month Today

I wasn't sure how much longer I was going to do the monthly pictures and updates.  I thought for a while that I'd stop once he turned 5.

Today was a long day...I took Carter to school.  Then met my mom at the hospital, we had a 'care meeting' with all the people working on Keith's case.  Since we were at the hospital most of the day visiting with Keith, I asked Martha to pick Carter up from school (since she had the day off).  I didn't pick him up from her until dinner time.  So, needless to say, it was a long day and all day I kept thinking there was something I was forgetting to do.  Once we got home I remembered....I forgot to take his monthly picture.  So, here they are...

Carter is such a little ham lately...you can definitely tell his Mommy takes LOTS of pictures of him :)
