Conversations With Carter

• Carter's argument for going outside by himself, "God is with me, he'll take care of me." How do you argue with that?

• When I asked Carter why he was pushing on my stomach he said, "I'm scooting your insides over to make room for a baby." Think he's trying to tell me something?

• Before I left the house to visit my brother, Keith in the hospital Carter came up to me and gave me a kiss and a hug. He said, "Give them to Uncle Keith. That`ll make him feel better." He`s such a sweetie!

• While dropping Carter off at preschool he said to me, "Mommy, I think I'm going to turn into an ice cube." Brrr....It's cold out there!

• When I asked Carter why he's running around the house he said, "So I can see how fast my heart beats."

Kids Say The Funniest Things!

Ben told me about a (phone) conversation Carter and him had the other morning when Carter called him to say good morning....

Carter:  "Ask me a question, Daddy"
Ben:  "Ok, what do you want me to ask you?"
Carter:  "Ask me if I miss you."
Ben:  "Do you miss me?"
Carter:  "No, not yet, maybe in a little bit."

I was cracking up, I just had to share...too funny!  That's totally Carter!!! 

A Full Moooon!

Carter and I had a cute conversation when we were driving home from running errands today...

Mommy:  Look Carter, there's a full moon!
Carter:  The moons full, Mommy?  It's full of milk!
Mommy:  Why's the moon full of milk, Carter?
Carter:  'Cause it's a moooon and it's white!
Mommy:  Carter, you crack me up!

He amazes me every day!  I love seeing the world through his eyes!

It's a Boy's Song, Mommy!

Lately when Carter and I are listening to music he only lets me sing the songs sung by girls.  If a song comes on that's sung by a boy he says, "No mommy, you can't sing that song it's a boy song...only boys can sing that song."  He cracks me up! 

"Engine Turtles"

Carter has recently discovered Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  I think it's hilarious how he says Ninja Turtles..."Engine Turtles" :)

Questions From A 3-Year Old!

Carter and I ran some errands today and during our trip he started asking the infamous (and most annoying) 3 questions...

1. Why?
2. Are we there yet?
3. Mommy, what are you doing? (Ok...he's been asking that one for months...still annoying though).

Where do they learn this stuff??? I honestly tried to answer each and every question (no matter how often it was asked) with patience and not get annoyed. I think the most annoying thing about these questions is that they are repeated over and over! Kids...gotta love 'em!

Mommy's Little Helper!

These are a few of the conversations I've had with Carter during the past week of me being sick with strep. They're just too cute not to share :)

*Carter was "taking care of me" and telling me everything I needed to do so I would feel better. This is the conversation we had...

Mommy: "Carter, you've been taking such good care of Mommy! Are you going to be a doctor when you grow up?"

Carter: "No Mommy...I want to be you when I grow up."

Mommy: "That is so sweet Carter! I love you soo much!!!" *While giving him the biggest bear hug without breathing on him too much!
**I literally almost burst into tears...my little man always knows just what to say to make me feel better!**

This is our conversation with the pharmacist when we were picking up my medicine yesterday afternoon...

Pharmacist: Are you going to take good care of Mommy when you get home?

Carter: Yep, 'cause she's my mommy!

He's so sweet! Don't you just want to eat him up???

Thought I'd share those cute conversations from our past week! Nothing else has been happening around here since I've been sick. Hopefully by tomorrow or Thursday I'll be able to get up and around again...and get my poor little man out of the house :)

My Sweet Boy!

My Carter Bug is such a sweetie! This morning I was woken up in the sweetest way...Carter came into my room and sat beside me on my bed and gave me a little kiss and said, "Good morning Mommy, you're the best!" Isn't that the sweetest thing you've ever heard?!?! I'm so lucky to have such a sweet boy!

Pop My Head Off, Daddy!

Ben and Carter have been "popping off" each other's heads for years. I think it's so cute that Carter tries sooo hard to make the "pop" sound :)
